Boxers are lovingly playful and patient with their owners but can be wary of strangers and agressive when threatened. Their athletic strength and agility is perfectly matched with elegance and style. Despite being hopelessly affectionate, happy and friendly, they also make suprisingly good guard dogs too. They tolerate small children, are courageous go-getters, intelligent, and sometimes stubborn.

On average, Boxers reach almost one metre in height and weigh between 24 and 30 kgs. Their short coat requires minimal care but they should be brushed on a regular basis to reduce shedding and keep their coat in top condition.

Loving them back

Training your Boxer requires consistency and strong, confident leadership. Boxers like to lead the pack and will take advantage of submissive owners if given the chance. Their sensitive side means positive reinforcement and treats work best for training, harsh discipline tones should always be avoided.
